We are members of the Power Squadron,
but we are also members of the community.
Geographically PBPS covers Eastern Long Island from
Wading River to Orient Point on the North fork and
East Moriches through Hampton Bays to the South.
We live here, work here, and participate in local community events.
Choose a topic from the list to the left to learn more
and hopefully we will meet you at an event soon.

Above, 14 squadron members participate in
the National Weather Service SKYWARN training program.
Meteorologists from the NWS Upton, NY facility
teach the spotters what to look for and how to report it.
These spotter reports help determine when warnings should be issued,
and also help to better understand how instrument readings
compare to actual weather events in the field.
